Rules change and agencies reorganise. Tell us what is wrong and, where you can, point us at the source that contradicts us. We check and correct.

Questions about a guide, requests for a state we have not covered, and commercial or partnership enquiries.
What we cannot help with
We cannot look up a specific hull number, tell you who owns a boat, or check whether a particular vessel is stolen. Those records belong to state agencies and law enforcement, and we have no access to them.

- If you suspect a boat is stolen, contact local law enforcement — see how to check if a boat is stolen.
- For condition questions, hire an accredited marine surveyor. No amount of research replaces one.
Response times
BoatSharp is a small operation. We read everything and reply to corrections first. Please do not send anything time-critical to a purchase — if you are on a deadline with a seller, that is what a surveyor is for.
