What BoatSharp collects, what it does not, and what happens when you follow a link to another site.

The short version
BoatSharp is a static website. It has no accounts, no login, no comment system and no newsletter sign-up at present. We do not ask you for personal information, and there is no form on this site that sends us any.
What runs on these pages
- Fonts are served from this domain. No font provider sees your visit.
- No advertising scripts, trackers, social widgets or chat tools are loaded.
- No cookies are set by BoatSharp itself.
- Local storage is used for one thing: the buying checklist remembers which boxes you have ticked. That data stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and is cleared when you clear site data.
Analytics
This deployment loads no analytics at all. The site is built so analytics are opt-in through configuration; when none is configured, no third-party script is served. If that changes, this page changes with it.
Server logs
BoatSharp is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes requests and may record standard technical information such as IP address, user agent and requested URL in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. That processing is Netlify's, under its own terms, and we do not combine it with anything else.
Links to other sites
Some links on BoatSharp are affiliate links to merchants such as Boat-Alert. Following one takes you to that company's site, where their privacy policy and cookies apply — including any cookie the merchant sets to attribute the referral. We do not receive your personal information from those merchants; where a commission is paid, we see aggregate transaction reporting, not who you are.
We also link to government and non-profit resources. Those organisations have their own policies, and we have no control over or responsibility for them.
Children
BoatSharp is aimed at adults researching a vehicle purchase. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information a company holds about you. Because this site does not collect personal information, in most cases there is nothing for us to hold. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it.

Changes
If this policy changes materially — particularly if analytics or any form of data collection is introduced — we will update the date at the top of this page and describe what changed.
